102-year-old Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche wants to be Nigeria's next President

Madam Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche is a 102-year-old woman campaigning for the post of president ahead of the 2023 elections. 

 

Education and Career

 

Madam Ezeanyaeche is the founder of a group called Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria. She is an indigene of Aguata, Anambra state where she was born in 1920 and had her education.

Sometimes called "Mama Africa", Madam Ezeanyaeche is the recipient of the African Peace Award which she was awarded in 2021.

The President of Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria, Caro Nwosu, had announced Ezeanyaeche’s decision to contest the 2023 polls, noting that she has her manifesto ready.

 

Electoral Vision

 

In a visit to the National Television Authority (NTA) upon her declaration, she expressed readiness to change the country and contest for the position of president if younger generations weren't ready.
