Divorce in recent times has become more complex and increasingly sought after by women. The culture of remaining in unhappy marriages is beginning to change as well as the pandemic forcing women to rethink their place in their marriages.   1. The UK is set to implement a new divorce law called the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 which will come into force in April 2022. The law removes the need to apportion blame and gives quick resolution reducing the impact on children, and enables a couple to move on as the option to contest the divorce has also been removed.

  1.  In the UAE divorce cases have halved in  the early months of 2021. More marriage contracts have been signed in the emirate.
