Female-focused fintech Shecluded appoints Farida Yahya as Vice President

Shecluded, Africa’s first, female-focused tech-enabled financial wellness company, has appointed Farida Yahya as its Vice President to help support the brand’s goal of expanding its operations and impact in Northern Nigeria.

The company disclosed the appointment of Farida who is a management consultant and business development manager with over 12 years of experience, in a statement in Abuja.

“Over the past six years, Farida has impacted over 1200 women and 500 startups. She does this by provding a sustainable digital learning experience that enables female founders from under served communities to build scalable businesses, fulfill their potential and lead happy lives,” the statement said.

“Aside expanding the reach of the brand that is Shecluded, I find it exciting because I get to make sure that the financial inclusion gap is grossly reduced," Daily Trust quotes Ms Yahya as saying.  “Also working with other partners already on ground within the north, we get to create an ecosystem that supports financial independence of women in the region.”

The company provides growth loans, financial education and asset-building tools for thousands of female entrepreneurs across Nigeria. With an active network of over 10,000 female entrepreneurs across diverse sectors, Shecluded is positioned to support women build and scale businesses that will thrive and leverage financial services to achieve their dream of financial freedom.
