Fondly known as Binani, Meet Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed
Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed is running for governor of Adamawa State. She is the official candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, which happened after she won the APC governorship primaries for Adamawa.
She is also the only female governorship candidate from all APC primary elections.
Education and Career
She was born 11 August 1971 and is a serving senator of APC who represents Adamawa Central senatorial district. She had her education in University of Southampton where she studied Electrical Engineering and obtained a Higher National Diploma in it.
Prior to being a senator, she was a member of the House of Representatives where she represented the Yola North/Yola South and Girei federal constituency. This was done under the People Democratic Party (PDP) which she was a member of before moving to the APC.
In addition to being a senator and the APC governorship candidate, she is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
