Kenya: Fear Escaltates as Police Finds Another Woman’s Corpse with Missing Parts in Gatundu

In Gatundu, Kenya, a 55-year-old lady was brutally murdered after being stabbed twice in the neck and having part of her body severed, according to a report by Citizen Digital. The country has been dealing with an upsurge of horrific murders over the last two weeks, with women bearing the brunt of these tragedies. 

 

An initial investigation into the event revealed that the woman may have been attacked on Sunday, January 21, while she was leaving church.

 

Jonathan Koech, head of the Gatundu South police station, verified the occurrence and said that no one has been taken into custody as of now. Furthermore, the motive for the alleged murder of the woman who was residing with her elderly mother remains unknown, he explained.

 

The family was informed that her remains will be transferred to the mortuary at Gatundu Hospital for an autopsy.

 

In a similar news, investigators in Juja have begun their work after the murder of a middle-aged lady. The woman's corpse was discovered in the Gwa-Kairu neighbourhood of Juja on Wednesday, January 17. Officers from the Juja-based Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) went to the location, according to Police Commander Michael Mwaura, in an effort to determine the incident's perpetrator.

 

According to Mwaura, there were obvious physical injuries and bruises on the victim's face, and there were also indications of a fight in the surroundings. 'Jaba' (muguka leaves) and groundnuts were discovered at the site, according to the police chief.

 

The body of the unidentified woman was moved to the General Kago funeral home in Thika County, awaiting postmortem.
