Honourable Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, the Lagos lawmaker who shared COVID-19 palliatives meant for her constituents as a birthday gift has lost her return ticket. According to a report by Lagos Post NG, Ms Alli-Macaulay lost her bid to return as a lawmaker for Amuwo Odofin Constituency at the Lagos State House West of Assembly. She lost the ticket of the All Progressives Congress during the primaries to Mr Olaitan Folorunso. Mr Olaitan won the ticket by twelve votes while Ms Alli-Macaulay got four votes. The returning officer Akintola Falade soon announced Mr Olaitan as the winner of the APC ticket for Amuwo Odofin. Ms Alli-Macaulay was criticised during the 2020 lockdown for sharing palliatives meant for her constituents as birthday gifts. During the #ENDSARS protests against police brutality, she was also criticised for how she accused protesting youths of destroying properties in Lagos and calling them "hoodlums".
