Aisha Ali-Gombe has been named the director of Louisiana State University’s brand-new cybersecurity clinic. At the moment, Ali-Gombe is an associate professor there.
To safeguard small enterprises that are the targets of cyberattacks, the award is intended for the establishment of a pilot cybersecurity clinic.
The University of Abuja commended Ali-Gombe in a message published on its official Facebook page on Sunday. The university identified Ali-Gombe as an alumna of the university.
“Big congratulations to the University of Abuja alumna, Aisha Ali-Gombe, an associate professor of Computer Science & Engineering, who has been selected as the director of the new Cybersecurity Clinic at Louisiana State University, where she lectures. Aisha, who is now a US-based Nigerian professor from Gombe state, was the best-graduating student in the Department of Computer Science in 2004.”

Adejoke Ayoola, a Nigerian-born and trained professor of nursing, was chosen as Calvin University School of Health’s first dean in June 2022. The school cited her exceptional accomplishments as reasons why she was the best candidate for the position.
