Meet the Ladies of Red Circle

By Admin | Mar 8, 2025

“Red Circle” follows investigative journalist Fikayo Holloway (played by Folu Storms) as she unravels a web of secrets tied to a powerful crime syndicate in the Lagos metropolitan area. Her investigation leads her to a mysterious businessman who pulls the strings of corruption, wealth, drugs, and even murder in the city, but exposing him comes at a risk that threatens not only her life but the lives of those dear to her.

The women of Red Circle are talented, charismatic, and full of surprises. From childhood dreams of dancing for Missy Elliott to mastering Korean during quarantine, each of them brings a unique energy to the screen.

Get to know Folu Storms, Omowunmi Dada, Lizzy Jay, and Detola Jones beyond their on-screen personas.

Folu Storms

Folu Storms is a radiant, witty, and never afraid to follow a hunch. In fact, a dream once convinced her that her inner child is actually a small boy.

She’s a devoted dog lover, often sneaking her outside dogs into her parents’ home when they aren’t looking (don’t tell them!). And if life had taken a different turn, you just might have seen her onstage as a backup dancer for Missy Elliott or Justin Timberlake. This is an old dream she still secretly holds onto.

Omowunmi Dada

Omowunmi Dada has always had a flair for the arts and a passion for public speaking. Back in secondary school, she somehow juggled being the Secretary-General of the Press Club with active roles in the Drama, Literary, and Debating societies. It’s no surprise that her love for storytelling led her to acting.

But in another life? She would have been a lawyer. Her sharp mind and dedication were evident early on, she graduated as the best student in her university class.

Adeyela Adebola (Lizzy Jay)

Comedian, actress, and content creator Lizzy Jay is full of unexpected contrasts. Despite her larger-than-life comedic presence, she’s actually calm and can even be shy at times.

She’s also deeply in tune with her emotions. When she’s hurt, sad, or angry, she physically feels it—manifesting as chest pains and acid reflux. But perhaps the most surprising fact about Lizzy? She would rather eat sand than beans. Yes, you read that right.

Detola Jones

A woman of many talents, Detola Jones spent quarantine learning how to read Hangul characters, and she now speaks Korean fluently. But her passion for language isn’t the only thing that defines her; music is at her core.

Before anything else, she’s a musician. And despite that, she absolutely hates karaoke. She’s fiercely loyal, having maintained the same close friendships for nearly two decades.

Together, these women bring their own quirks, talents, and personalities to the screen, making Red Circle an unforgettable experience.

Directed by Akay Mason (Elevator Baby, Superstar), written by Abdul Tijani-Ahmed (Brotherhood, Skinny Girl In Transit) and produced by Awolowo and Tijani-Ahmed, Red Circle features a powerhouse cast, including Bukky Wright, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Bakre, Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Branch, Omowunmi Dada, Mike Afolarin, Ruggedman, Debo Macaroni, and more.
